Siler City, NC - Chatham County Deputies arrested Terry Phillips, 38, of 469 Alston Bridge Road, Siler City on an assault charges pursuant to an incident that occurred on Alston Bridge Road on Sunday, October 14. Phillips is accused of shooting into an occupied vehicle as well as pointing a gun at several motorists. Deputies responded to several complaints from citizens about a man on horseback shooting at motorists along the road.

Phillips was arrested at his home without incident and charged with Felonious Shooting into Occupied Property and 5 counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun. He was jailed under a $5,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Siler City on October 22.
