Chatham County deputies arrested a robbery suspect Friday afternoon in New Hanover County. New Hanover County officers contacted the Sheriff’s Office when they discovered that the suspect was wanted by our agency for felonious common law robbery, felonious larceny of a motor vehicle and assault on a female.

Deputies received a call on May 20, 2004 in reference to a robbery that occurred at the home of Jennifer Hecht of Woodbridge Road, Chapel Hill. Ms. Hecht reported that her ex-boyfriend punched her and took the keys to her 1996 Chevrolet Corsica and drove it away without her permission. The car was later used in a larceny in Orange County. Corporal Kevin Carey obtained warrants on the suspect, Enrico Farrington, 34, Cranwell Court, Greensboro on the same day. He was being held in the Department of Corrections on other charges.
Farrington was jailed under a $1,000.00 secured bond and he is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on December 21.
