Moncure, NC - A Moncure man was arrested Saturday after Chatham County Deputies responded to a disturbance call at 61 Wimberly Road, Moncure.

Raelene Hearn reported that her husband, Duane Hearn, 42, of 61 Wimberly Road, Moncure strangled her in an altercation they had around 3:00 am early Saturday morning. Mr. Hearn stated that he called 911 because he was extremely angry with his wife and wanted law enforcement to respond before anything worse happened.

Deputies responded to the scene and arrested Hearn after getting information from him and his wife. Deputy Terry Hudnett arrested Hearn without further incident and charged him with Felonious Assault by Strangulation and Assault on a Female.

He was jailed under no bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 19.
