Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham County Sheriff's Office arrested Penny Culberson, 31, of 5624 Log Cabin Road, Ramseur after Randolph County Sheriff’s Office found her near Bennett and brought her to deputies on Friday. Deputies had been looking for her since mid-June after she failed to appear in Chatham County Court for a felony possession of cocaine charge. She was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving with No Insurance.

Culberson was one of two suspects that Sheriff Webster profiled on the Radio Station G105 out of Raleigh on Thursday September 22nd. A segment of morning programming called “Bob the Bounty Hunter” has Sheriffs from local counties come into the radio station on Thursday mornings and present 2 or 3 suspects for the public to call in and help law enforcement apprehend. Most of the criminals profiled have attempted to elude capture from law enforcement. The program has been very successful in getting criminals off the street. After the program, Sheriff Webster received two telephone calls with 2 separate addresses in Randolph County. The Sheriff contacted Sheriff Litchard Hurley of Randolph County and gave him the information. Randolph Deputies caught up to Culberson at a residence near Bennett a few days later. Culberson was jailed under a $5,000.00 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on October 17.

Another suspect the Sheriff’s Office is looking for is Andrew Williams, 30, of 47 Hal Davis Road, Bonlee. He is wanted for owing over $4,000.00 in unpaid child Support and is believed to still be in the Bonlee area of Chatham County. Several calls have been made about Williams’ location but deputies have not found him yet.
As a direct result of the program, the Sheriff’s Office has located 3 of the 8 people profiled
