A Pittsboro man has been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred at Lot 44 Five Oaks Mobile Home Park near Pittsboro. Rashad Farrar, 16, of 180 NC 87 North, Pittsboro was arrested after deputies responded to a call from Joe McSwain on January 5th. McSwain advised officers that a B/M subject broke into his home around 8:00 pm and took approximately $90.00 from his person while he was lying on the couch. The investigation lead to Farrar and he was arrested without incident on January 10th. Farrar was charged with Felonious First Degree Burglary and Felonious Common Law Robbery. He was jailed under a $10,000.00 secured bond and his court date is January 12.
