Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Pittsboro man on a felony drug charge after a traffic stop was conducted on US 15-501 and Mt. Gilead Church Road in Northern Chatham County. Deputy Bobby Lane arrested Michael Parks, 21, of 576 Hudson Woods Road, Pittsboro after a traffic stop for making an improper left turn for Felony Possession of Psilocybin, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Deputies seized 4.7 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms and 2.7 grams of Marijuana.
He was arrested without incident and released under a $500.00 unsecured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Pittsboro district court on June 1.
