Deputies arrest Pittsboro man for indoor marijuana growing operation

Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham County Sheriff's Office Domestic Violence and Narcotics Units executed a search warrant in connection to a criminal investigation earlier this week that included a search of 571 Arrowhead Loop, Pittsboro, which is the residence of William Alan Schultze.

Deputies seized several marijuana plants growing in the home. The weight of the plants was about three pounds. Deputies also discovered several firearms in the residence that were seized as well.

After the search was conducted, Schultze was arrested and charged with Felonious Manufacturing of Marijuana, Felonious Possession of Marijuana, Felonious Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Schultze was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on January 12.
