Tommy Gene East Jr., 34, of 248 Ellis Road, Moncure turned himself in to Sheriff’s Deputies today after Narcotics Agents raided a residence on Ellis Road in Corinth and linked him to the largest recovery of Crystal Methamphetamine in Sheriff’s Office history.
Chatham County Narcotics Agents, the Chatham County Special Incident Response Team and Cary Police Officers executed a search warrant on November 29th and seized 12 ounces of Crystal Methamphetamine, 5 pounds of Marijuana, 3 ounces of Cocaine and several doses of Anabolic Steroids. Also seized were a 45 caliber pistol and a 20 gauge shotgun.
Deputies charged East with numerous drug charges including; Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine (Schedule II), Trafficking in Methamphetamine by possession, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine (Schedule II), Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession With Intent To Sell and Deliver Marijuana (Schedule VI), and Possession of Anabolic Steroids (Schedule III). East is pending trial in Tennessee for 4 counts of Attempted Murder.
East was placed under a $1,000,000 secured bond and his court date is December 2.
