Bennett, NC - After a criminal investigation that lasted two weeks, Chatham County Criminal Investigator Chris Perry obtained warrants on Lige Bobby Boswell, 41, of 5094 Ozark Street, Winston Salem. The investigation surrounded events that occurred in the Bennett area of Chatham County on December 21.

Boswell is accused of charging the victim, Wanda Parker of Bennett, $900.00 for spreading gravel at her home. When friends and neighbors heard of the arrangement, they advised the victim to stop the payment and contact the Sheriff’s Office. Detective Perry reviewed the matter and also felt the $900 was an extreme cost considering the amount that was previously agreed upon.

Boswell was recently arrested for a similar crime in Chatham County late last year. He is currently incarcerated in Forsyth County for other charges. He was charged with Felonious Exploitation of an Elder Adult.

Boswell was jailed under a $500.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on January 24.
