Kidnapping suspects arrested in Chatham County

Siler City, NC - Three dangerous fugitives were arrested on Wednesday morning after an intense investigation that originated in Robeson County came to a close. The U. S. Marshalls notified the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office that they were investigating an Armed Robbery-Kidnapping of a teenage boy on Monday and they had received information that they were in Chatham County.

Officers surrounded a home located at 56 Angel Drive, Siler City near Bonlee and spotted a stolen 2000 Ford F 150 pickup truck behind the residence that was used in the crime. Officers began surveillance on the home and investigators obtained a search warrant. Entry was made on the residence shortly after noon on Wednesday and the victim was recovered unharmed. During the search of the residence 3 semi automatic handguns were seized as well as 27 grams of Marijuana, 1 gram of powdered Cocaine, $3,179.92 in cash and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Victor Aguilar, 38 and Israel Pabon-Ocasio, 31 of 56 Angel Drive, Siler City as well as Josue Cruz, 29, of 126 Presnell Street, Asheboro. Aguilar was charged with Felonious Possession of Marijuana, Felonious Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Felonious Possession of Cocaine, Felonious Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was jailed under a $150,000.00 secured bond.

Cruz and Ocasio were charged with the same crimes and additionally with Felonious Kidnapping, Felonious Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Felonious Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. They were also jailed under a $150,00.00 secured bond. They all are scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 19.
