Bonlee, NC - The North Carolina State Highway Patrol recovered a stolen 1992 Honda Accord in Randolph County near Ramseur after investigating a traffic accident at that location. The vehicle was stolen earlier that morning from Troy Blankenship II of 114 South Tenth Avenue, Siler City. Deputies took a report from Blankenship and began an investigation.

Witnesses stated that Justin Gaines, 18, of 193 Pat Murrow Road, Bonlee was seen leaving the victim’s residence earlier that day in the vehicle. Gaines was arrested on Wednesday after Deputy Herbie Stubbs obtained a Felony warrant for Larceny of a Motor Vehicle.

Gaines was arrested without incident and jailed under a $9,000.00 secured bond. His court date is in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 4.
