[Aug. 8, 2005] A Siler City man has been arrested for attempted 1st degree rape when he was accused of attempting to have sex with a female during an altercation that took place at 314 Shelby Lane, Siler City on Saturday evening. The suspect, Lonnie Baxter Christopher, 44, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault inflicting serious injury.

[Aug. 3, 2005] Anna Marie Milliken of Pittsboro and UNC-Wilmington, died Aug 1 from injuries sustained in a vehicle crash in Chatham County. She was 21. She graduated from Northwood High School in Pittsboro in 2002 and was a rising senior at UNC-Wilmington. While home from college, she worked for Allen & Son Pit Cooked Bar-B-Q in Bynum. She attended Lystra Baptist Church.

The purpose of this meeting was to bring together various City and County Agencies in the Central Triad area, and discuss the War on Drugs as it pertains to local law enforcement agencies.

Deputies stopped Ronald Glenn, 39, of 200 Barnes Street, Carrboro and found 5 grams of Marijuana in his possession.

[Jul. 19, 2005] Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s ICE team arrested a Sanford man on a felony drug charge on Sunday evening after a traffic stop was conducted on NC 87 South of Pittsboro near Old Sanford Road. The stop was the result of a directed patrol in the southern part of the county.

[Jul. 17, 2005] Jeremy Cull, 31, of 569 RC Overman Road Siler City was arrested on Thursday by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. Cull is accused of stealing mail, cashing personal checks and using a credit card on the account of his ex-girlfriend, Cathy Sikora-Hanby, of Siler City Snow Camp Road, Siler City over the past 6 months without her permission.

[Jul. 16, 2005] Chatham County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a Chapel Hill man on Breaking, Entering and Larceny charges pursuant to incidents that occurred earlier this week. Investigators have been working five breaking and entering cases in the Farrington and Polks Landing area since last Thursday. Kevin Allen of Chapel Hill was linked to several crimes in Chatham County, Orange County and Chapel Hill and was arrested early Thursday morning in Chapel Hill after pawning two stolen musical instruments in the City of Durham.

The mission was primarily conducted in the southwestern part of the county.

[Jun. 28, 2005] Anthony Jeffries, 18, of 1207 Boyer Street, Raleigh and George Jones, 20, of 6284 Stag Trail, Wendell were arrested on Thursday by Chatham County Deputies for 3 separate counts of financial transaction card theft. The arrest was based upon a two-week long investigation conducted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigation Division.

[Jun. 25, 2005] Gabriel Polson, 29, of 136 Maggie Lane, Chapel Hill was taken into custody in Texas and transported back to Chatham County last week after Texas authorities located him after a routine traffic stop. Polson fled after learning he was wanted for questioning in connection with an investigation involving the larceny of several thousand dollars from a bank account belonging to Hubert Oakley, of Polks Landing Road, Chapel Hill.

[Jun. 23, 2005] Clarence Shinault, 39, and Christopher McGhee, 41, both of 3200 Lystra Road, Chapel Hill, were taken into custody Tuesday by Chatham County deputies for three separate crimes of fraud, possession of stolen goods and interfering with a utility meter.
