Pittsboro, NC - Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s ICE team arrested a Sanford man on a felony drug charge on Sunday evening after a traffic stop was conducted on NC 87 South of Pittsboro near Old Sanford Road. The stop was the result of a directed patrol in the southern part of the county.
Officers seized 16.5 grams of marijuana after a vehicle search was conducted. The passenger, Travis Sentell Reaves, 25, of 607 Greenland Drive, Sanford was arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Aggravated Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was jailed under a $1,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 20.
