Goldston man arrested after shooting

Goldston, NC - A Goldston man was arrested after allegedly shooting another man in the chest.

Vincent David Pendarvis, 45, of 154 Penn Haven Road was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury after the incident at 169 Walnut Lane in Goldston.

The victim, Mark V. Mannino, told Chatham County deputies that Pendarvis shot him with a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol after an argument over some vehicles belonging to Pendarvis, the release said.

Pendarvis was jailed under $50,000 secured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on Wednesday.
