Investigators from Chatham County Sheriff’s Office and the Carrboro Police Department are working to identify two suspects alleged to have broken into church property on Friday, June 3rd shortly after 10 a.m.
Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Solid Rock Baptist Church, located at 3903 US 64 West, Pittsboro after a witness saw two suspects breaking into church property. The suspects were gone when the officers arrived and a description of the vehicle was given out to area law enforcement agencies and a Carrboro Officer located the suspect vehicle a few hours later. There was no one around the vehicle at the time it was recovered.
Investigators recovered over $2,000 worth of stolen sound equipment that belonged to Solid Rock Baptist Church inside the vehicle. It has been seized and investigators are continuing their investigation.
