Crimestoppers tip leads to arrest

On July 8, deputies of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office investigated a Crimestoppers tip that indicated there were stolen vehicles located at 327 Rosser Road, Bear Creek.

Deputy Steve Maynor arrested Cindy Baldwin, 43, of the same address, and charged her with 3 counts of Felonious Possession of Stolen Vehicles after locating 3 stolen vehicles on her property.

A blue Nissan Armada was recovered after it was reported stolen by Sanford Police Department. A Green Mitsubishi Montero was recovered after it was reported stolen by Andrews Police Department in South Carolina. A Black Honda Accord was recovered after it was reported stolen by the Siler City Police Department. All vehicles were towed and stored.

Baldwin was released under a $5,000.00 bond.
