Pittsboro, NC - Gabriel Polson, 29, of 136 Maggie Lane, Chapel Hill was taken into custody in Texas and transported back to Chatham County last week after Texas authorities located him after a routine traffic stop. Polson fled after learning he was wanted for questioning in connection with an investigation involving the larceny of several thousand dollars from a bank account belonging to Hubert Oakley, of Polks Landing Road, Chapel Hill.

Warrants were obtained on Polson by detectives back in March and it was then they received information that he had left the area. He was extradited back to Chatham County and was arrested by Deputy Brian Gooch and Detective Mike Szpunar for 3 counts of Felonious Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, Speeding, and Driving While License Revoked. More charges are expected to be filed.

He was jailed under a $9,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Siler City on July 28.
