Chatham man charged with DWI

Carrboro - Police charged a Pittsboro man Sunday with driving while impaired, expired license tag and failure to produce registration card.

Samuel Vann Evans, 28, of 1358 Manns Chapel Road, was stopped by police at 3:20 a.m. for an expired license tag, according to a Carrboro police report. He registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 and was released under a written promise to appear in court.
