Bynum, NC - The Chatham County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office Special Incident Response Team (SIRT), the Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team executed a search warrant at 334 Bynum Church Road, Bynum on Saturday. The warrant was a result of a month long undercover drug operation where undercover agents purchased cocaine from Kevin Durwood Scott, 19, of the same address.

He was arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Trafficking Cocaine, Felonious Possession of Cocaine, 2 counts of Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Felonious Conspiracy to Sell Cocaine, Felonious Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Amount of cocaine seized during the raid was 5 grams and 7 grams of Marijuana was also seized. Deputies also recovered a Mossberg 12 Gauge Shotgun from the residence.
Scott is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on January 18.
