Deputies arrest Bear Creek man on drug charges

Bear Creek, NC - The Chatham County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit conducted a month long undercover drug operation in the Bear Creek area and arrested Marcus Craven, 35, of 799 May’s Chapel Road, Bear Creek on Felony Narcotics charges on Thursday.

Deputies recovered .2 grams of cocaine from Craven during the operation. Craven was seen driving through Pittsboro and was stopped by officers who were aware of the outstanding warrants.

Craven was arrested without incident and charged with the Felonious Possession of Cocaine, Felonious Delivery of Cocaine, Felonious Sell of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released under a written promise to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on March 29.
