Siler City, NC - Chatham County deputies arrested two more men after investigating an assault and robbery report on September 19. On Monday, October 16th, Investigators arrested Cecil Hickox, 30, of 130 Ward Road, Staley and Steven Fields, 27, of 317 North Dogwood Avenue, Siler City.
At 4:15 AM on September 19, Deputies responded to a residence on Silk Hope Liberty Road when they were told that a subject had been injured in an assault. The victim, Adam Holmes of Pear Drive in Siler City was transported to Chatham Hospital as a result of injuries he sustained in an alleged assault with a baseball bat. Holmes told deputies that he was assaulted and robbed of personal belongings by 3 men at a party on Silk Hope Liberty Road. He identified Daniel Clark, 20, of 139 Poplar Forest Lane, Pittsboro as one of the suspects.

Warrants were issued for Clark and he turned himself into authorities on September 25. Hickox turned himself this past Monday evening at Liberty Police Department and he was charged with Felonious Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony Larceny and Injury to Personal Property. He was released under a Written Promise to Appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on November 1.

Fields was arrested at his residence and charged with the same crimes as Hickox. He was later jailed under a $10,000.00 secured bond and is also scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on November 1.
