Two Apex men were arrested after Chatham County Deputies stopped them on Hwy 751 near the Wake County Line after they had received reports of someone shooting in the area of 816 Hwy 751 in Chatham County. While responding, Deputy Brandon Clewis observed a gray Pontiac 4 door leaving the area at a high rate of speed and stopped the vehicle less than a mile from the scene of the shooting. While investigating the incident, Deputy Clewis found the men had only fired at road signs and not at any vehicles or people. Paul Borge, 22, of 1320 Salem Church Road, Apex was arrested and charged with Injury to Real Property. Kevin Wood, 23, of 104 Kensington Hill Way, Apex was also charged with the same crime. All weapons were confiscated and both men were released on a $1,000.00 unsecured bond. There court date is September 15.
