Siler City, NC - Carl Thompson, former Chatham County commissioner, announced Friday he will run for District 5 commissioner against incumbent Tommy Emerson. District 5 includes Siler City.
According to a release, Thompson wants to implement a county land-use plan and plan for commercial development along U.S. 15-501 and U.S. 64. He also wants community and business leaders to develop a comprehensive economic development plan for the county.
