Pittsboro, NC - George Lucier, a former head of the county planning board, has announced he plans to run for a seat on the Chatham County Board of Commissioners.
Lucier will file as a Democrat for the District 3 primary scheduled for May 2.
The official filing period does begins until on February 13.
The seat is currently held by Commissioner Carl Outz, who was elected in 1998. Outz has not yet announced whether he plans to run for re-election in May's primary.
