Siler City, NC - This is to formally announce my candidacy for 4th District Commissioner. Since making a late start and in trying to pick up speed, for beginners, let me offer the following:
Some "planks"-
1. Fiscal responsibility and accountability. We, the taxpayers, deserve it.
2. Effective, working schools developing educated, competent, young adults ready to take their place in our ever-changing world.
3. Proactive, comprehensive, and practical strategic planning resurrected and back in our tool kit.
4. A true district system of representation in the County. We, the voters, deserve it.
My Creed- "From a sand dune to the Moon"
This is the legacy of flight. A true testament of human endeavor.
My Vision - All citizens of Chatham County living and working together, learning from the past while building for tomorrow, providing the best future for their families, their communities, and themselves.
I look forward to joining in the debate on how to best fulfill this vision.
Again, this is just a start and, as this process develops, I will be bringing forward other thoughts and ideas for your consideration. I challenge all to focus on the issues. There is too much at stake to do otherwise.
Together, we can achieve. Divided, we will surely fail.
Karl Ernst is the Republican candidate for 4th District Commissioner
