Chatham Democrats to hold Congressional District 4 Convention

Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham County Democratic Party will hold it's Congressional District 4 Convention at the new Margaret B. Pollard Middle School on Saturday, May 14. The District 4 Convention’s registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the convention begins at 9 a.m.

Congressional District 4 is represented by North Carolina Democrat, David Price. The Chatham County Teen Democrats will be selling refreshments at the convention to raise money for their upcoming trip to Washington D.C.

Congressional District 2 will gather at the Lee County Courthouse. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the convention starts at 11. a.m. Congressional District 2 is currently represented by North Carolina Republican Renee Ellmers. The Lee County Democratic Women will also be holding a cake sale at the convention. Proceeds will go to help those who lost homes and possessions to the recent storms. Please feel free to bring a cake for the cause or purchase something delicious in support of Lee County.

Delegates attending the convention will vote on resolutions to be sent to the state convention.

After either convention come by Siler City Alive to enjoy great food and live music. Siler City Alive will run from noon to 7 p.m.
