State Senator Bob Atwater

Chatham County, NC - State Senator Bob Atwater is seeking a second term. Atwater announced Wednesday he will run for re-election to the District 18 seat, which covers Chatham and Lee counties plus the southwestern portion of Durham county.

Atwater plans to be at the Chatham County Board of Elections office in Pittsboro when filing opens at noon Feb. l 3.

Atwater was a Chatham County commissioner before beating Republican Christine Mumma to the Senate seat vacated by Wib Gulley in 2004.
