Anna Marie Milliken

Anna Marie Milliken of Pittsboro and UNC-Wilmington, died Aug 1 from injuries sustained in a vehicle crash in Chatham County. She was 21.

A native of Orange County, she graduated from Northwood High School in Pittsboro in 2002 and was a rising senior at UNC-Wilmington. While home from college, she worked for Allen & Son Pit Cooked Bar-B-Q in Bynum. She attended Lystra Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be conducted Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Everett Smith at Lystra Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the Milliken family from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin Funeral Service and Cremation in Pittsboro.

Survivors include her parents, Teddy and Noreen Milliken, of the home; a sister, Laura of Pittsboro; and her grandparents, George and Inez Riddle of Sanford, Sheena Riddle Jones of Chapel Hill, and Polly and Dempsey Milliken of Pittsboro.
