Pittsboro, NC - The Spring 2012 Friends of the Chatham Community Library book sale will be held on Thursday, March 29, and Friday, March 30, from 9 until 7, and Saturday, March 31, from 9 until 4. Once again the sale will be at the Chatham Community Library on the campus of Central Carolina Community College, 197 NC Highway 87 North, in Pittsboro.

All the funds raised by these books sales go to enhance the resources and services provided by our library. The sale is a true community event - come be part of it!

You can be certain you can find something you will enjoy in the usually fine selections in history and biography, mysteries and fiction, art, cookbooks, children's books, and many more categories as well as collections of audio and visual material. Almost all the books are from donations by residents of Chatham County. A listing of rare and unusual books for sale can be found on-line at the Friends website.

In addition to the usually attractive pricing, on Thursday purchases over $200 will receive a 20% discount. On Friday all prices are 50% off. On Saturday you can buy a grocery bag full of books for $5.

Wait there’s more! If you are already a member of the Friends, you should have received a $3 discount card in the mail. Bring it with you and apply the discount to the books you buy. Not a member of the Friends? You can join at the sale and get your $3 discount at the same time.

In addition, on Thursday and Friday, coffee and pastries are available for purchase from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at The Natural Chef Café of the College’s Culinary Arts program in the Technology Center adjacent to the library. Lunch will also be served both days (by reservation) from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. For more details, call (919) 545-8076.
