Between 300 and 400 customers in the southern part of town lost power briefly Wednesday after a dump truck hit a power line.

The raised body of the dump truck snagged a power line at about 11 a.m. as the truck drove out of the Potterstone Village development off U.S. 15-501.

Some of the development has opened, while other parts are under construction.

Progress Energy had most people's power back within an hour and a half.
