Pittsboro, NC - Patrons of Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro will not be able to get through to the library by phone on Friday, May 24, beginning at 3:30 pm and possibly until closing at 6 pm that day. The outage is due to a scheduled upgrade to Central Carolina Community College’s phone system, which serves the library.
During the phone outage, patrons who need to renew or request materials may contact the library’s branches in Siler City at (919) 742-2016 or Goldston at (919) 898-4522.
Patrons may also renew or request library materials online by going to www.chathamlibraries.org and clicking on “my account” in the left hand column. They will be prompted to enter the numbers of their library card barcode and their PIN, which is the last four digits of the library card barcode.
All branches of Chatham County Libraries will be closed Saturday, May 25, and Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day weekend. On Tuesday, May 28, Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro will reopen at 9 am and Wren Library in Siler City will reopen at 10 am. Goldston Library is normally closed on Tuesdays and will reopen at 10 am on May 29.
