Pittsboro, NC - Chatham Animal Rescue and Education, Inc. (C.A.R.E.) in conjunction with The Chatham County Concerned Bikers Association (CC-CBA) held its Fifth Annual Burrito Bash and Auction on Monday, August 11 at the General Store Café in Pittsboro. The evening included an excellent silent auction and an exciting live auction with Benjamin Farrell as auctioneer.

Music by members of The Big Time Party Band throughout the evening provided many laughs and memories for everyone. Nearly two hundred hungry supporters and auction participants attended this record-breaking event in downtown Pittsboro hosted by Vance and Joyce Remick, owners of the General Store Café.

Both non-profit organizations have a common dedication of love and support towards humans and animals alike. The C.A.R.E. Foster Program promotes health care and safety for Chatham County cats and dogs. The CC-CBA Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Program (MSAP) promotes safety and education for young drivers during Driver's Education classes in local Chatham County high schools. Funds raised will provide the necessary tools towards making these valuable programs stronger and stronger.

The combination of volunteers, supporters and a caring community help make our county better and safe for everyone. After all, this truly is what Chatham County is all about!

The next fundraiser for C.A.R.E. is the 7th Annual Woof-A-Palooza Dog Walk on Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Central Carolina Community College
