As the U.S. Open approaches, the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is working to ensure that motorists are safe during their travels.
When planning your trip, be aware of work zones in the following areas from Monday, June 13 through Monday, June 20:
U.S. Routes:
- U.S. 1/64 at Cary in Wake County will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Tryon Road and Walnut Street from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. each night, Monday through Friday.
- U.S. 15/501 in Chatham and Orange counties may have periodic lane closures between Northwoods School Road in Chatham County and the Chapel Hill city limits in Orange County.
Interstate Routes:
- I-95 in Johnston County may have periodic lane closures between mile marker 77 and 97.
- I-95 in Johnston and Wilson counties may have periodic lane closures from U.S. 301 to Governor Hunt Road.
- I-95 in Robeson County may have periodic lane closures between mile markers 11 and 22 due to the new U.S. 74 Maxton Bypass construction project.
