Fire destroyed a home located between Goldston and Pittsboro early Monday morning.
Firefighters received the call to the home at 250 Guthrie Road just after 4 a.m. Goldston and Pittsboro fire departments both responded to the call. But by the time they arrived, the fire had already destroyed the home.
The Haden family had just returned from University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill where their teenage daughter was being treated for seizures.
They came home to find out they lost everything. Firefighters said nothing was salvageable.
The fire marshal said it may take a few days to determine what started the fire.
Red Cross and Salvation Army were contacted to aid the family.
The family, who was insured, said they will rely on help from their church to get by.
