Barnes and Cross file for reelection

Pittsboro, NC - Incumbents Mike Cross and Patrick Barnes filed Monday for the Chatham County commission races in District one and two. Armentha Davis is a challenger in District two. Treva Seagroves filed for Register of Deed, a position formally held by Reba Thomas. Gene Galin filed for the Board of Education District 2 race.

The candidate filing period for the May 6 primary election will run through noon on Friday, Feb. 29.

Chatham County candidates for State Senate, State House of Representatives, Register of Deeds, County Commissioner Districts One and Two, Board of Education Districts One and Two must file a Notice of Candidacy in the Board of Elections office at 984 Thompson Street in Pittsboro.
