It's time to nominate your special team players for local and statewide honors as part of the 2005 Chatham County and NC Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Service Program. Nominations Due May 10, 2005

The Volunteer Center of the United Way of Chatham County invites you to nominate exceptional adult and youth volunteers who contribute their time generously to help make our community a great place to live. Individuals and groups may be nominated in the following categories: Arts/Culture, Education/Literacy, Environment, Health, Public Safety, Social Services, and Special Events. A local Advisory Committee will review all nominations and select five exceptional nominees for honors in the statewide NC Award for Volunteerism. The accomplishments of all Chatham nominees will be celebrated in public recognition activities in the fall.

It's a simple process -- request a paper or electronic version of the nomination form from the United Way (phone 542-1110 or email uwayccVC@emji.net). Nominations deadline is May 10, 2005.
