Siler City, NC - On Thursday, March 19 at 6 p.m., Chatham Middle hosted a Latino parent night in the cafeteria. Parent outreach is a part of the school's partnership with Creating Confianza and UNC's Dr. Mimi Chapman. The evening focused on relationships and teenage dating.
The overarching goal of the Confianza project is to design and test a new service delivery system for new immigrant and Spanish-speaking middle- and high-school aged youth and their
families.
"Chatham Middle's goal is to create a broad and dynamic school community where all members are involved and are continually learning. Education extends beyond the walls of our classrooms and spills out into our community. We believe that all members of our community should push towards a better life through the process of education. We are better together," said Dan Barnwell, Assistant Principal.
