Pittsboro, NC - Chatham Community Library, in collaboration with the Career Center at Central Carolina Community College, will offer classes on Online Job Searching and Resume Writing in May. The sessions will be led by Chris Moses, coordinator of the Career Center, and will take place in the computer lab at Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro.
The Online Job Searching class, offered May 6 at 10 am, will prepare participants to navigate the world of online job searching and job applications. Attendees will learn how to use job search engines, make employment information available online, find and fill out online applications, and avoid common application mistakes.
The Resume Writing class takes place on May 13 at 10 am. Participants will learn about the different types of resumes, what to include on a resume, how to use Microsoft Word for formatting, and how to find resume resources at the library and online.
Classes are free and open to the public. Participants must be comfortable operating a computer and navigating the Internet.
