Pittsboro, NC - Don't miss the Fall 2013 Friends of the Chatham Community Library book sale this Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27 from 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday, September 28, from 9 am to 2 pm The sale will be at the Chatham Community Library on the campus of Central Carolina Community College, 197 NC Highway 87 North, in Pittsboro.

You can be certain you will find something to enjoy in the impressive collection of mysteries, history, fiction, trade paperbacks, cookbooks, children's books, art books, classics and curiosities, religion, business, home and hobby, and many more categories. Music and books on CDs, movie DVDs and video cassettes will also be available.Â

This sale includes a particularly large donation of science fiction hardback and paperback books, and a very interesting and unusual collection of books on medical history and medical biographies. The poetry selection for this sale is also larger than usual. We have a great selection of gently-used children's books, but those sell quickly, so come early.

Nearly all of the books were donated for the sale by residents of Chatham County. A listing of rare and unusual books available at the sale can be found on-line at the Friends website.

You'll love our prices--we haven't raised them since 2004! On Friday all prices are 50 percent off. On Saturday you can fill a large grocery bag with books for $5. Cash and checks only. No credit or debit cards accepted.

All the funds raised by these books sales go to enhance the resources and services provided by our library. The sale is a true community event--come be part of it! Bring your family and friends. Remember--books also make great gifts.
