Vanderbeck wins in commissioner race.
Totten, Russell and McManus win in school board race.
Pittsboro, NC - With all precints reporting, Democrat Tom Vanderbeck beat Republican Karl Ernst in the District 4 commissioners' race 9,770 to 7,332. The winners in the school board races were Kathie Russell, Gerald Totten and Deb McManus. Chatham voters rejected district voting 9,295 to 7,736.
