Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham County Council on Aging invites residents to attend the Second Annual Chicken Tender Dinner Fundraiser on March 30, 2012 to support programs and services for Chatham County’s senior adults.

People may eat on site or pick up dinners from 11 am-7 pm at the Western Chatham Senior Center in Siler City at 112 Village Lake Road. Pickup at the Pittsboro Senior Center is also available for orders placed ahead of time.

A $7.00 donation provides a plate of fried chicken, green beans, coleslaw, bread, dessert, and beverage. After dinner, stay at the Western Senior Center to enjoy our monthly dance with the band The Delmonicos from 7 pm -10 pm for an extra fee of $8.00.

The Council on Aging’s mission is to provide programs and services to assist older adults in maintaining quality of life and independence. The Council provides everything from home-delivered meals and in-home aide services to caregiver support, minor home repair and information and assistance. The Council’s fundraising helps support the soaring needs of the rapidly growing senior population in Chatham County.

“Please help make this event a success,” said Angel Dennison, executive director of the Chatham County Council on Aging. “We are in major need of additional funds to keep up with the demand for services.”
