Chatham Council on Aging available to speak and get your input

Pittsboro, NC - Would your organization or club benefit from more information on programs and services available for seniors in Chatham County or challenges facing our senior population? Would you like to weigh in on future services or programs for seniors?

If so, the Chatham County Council on Aging is offering speakers on topics related to seniors, but also want to use that opportunity to get your feedback on future programs and services.

“We are in the process of a three-year strategic planning process,” said Angel Dennison, executive director of the Council on Aging. “We very much want to get input from local residents, but we also want to offer to use that time to share valuable information on what is already available.”

Dennison said that many residents know very little about what is available to help family members, such as aging parents. “We have information on respite care, in-home services, disease support groups and many other services.”

The Council has developed a survey to get feedback on services for their strategic plan that will be distributed at the presentations. “We also invite anyone to complete the survey online,” Dennison said. Link to the survey:
