Pittsboro, NC - The Fall 2011 Friends of the Chatham Community Library Book Sale will be held on Thursday and Friday, September 22 and 23, from 9 am until 7 pm, and also on Saturday, September 24, from 9 am until 4 pm. The sale will be at the new Chatham Community Library on the campus of Central Carolina Community College, 197 NC Highway 87 North, in Pittsboro.

All funds raised by the books sale are used to enhance the resources and services provided by the library. People can find something to enjoy in the usually fine selections in history and biography, mysteries and fiction, art, cookbooks, children's books, and many more categories. The sale also includes collections of audio and visual materials. Almost all books have been donated by residents of Chatham County.

A listing of rare and unusual books for sale can be found on-line at the Friends website.

Books are already priced to sell, but additional discounts are offered on specific days:

  • On Thursday, purchases over $200 qualify for a 20% discount
  • On Friday, all prices are 50% off
  • On Saturday, you can buy a grocery bag full of books for $5

Members of the Friends of Chatham Community Library should have received a $3 discount card in the mail. Bring it to the sale to apply to purchases. If you are not yet a member, join at the sale and get your $3 discount at the same time
