Pittsboro, NC - The Humane Society of North Carolina recently visited the Chatham County animal shelter to meet the animals and staff. Photos of their tour, including several of adoptable pets, are featured on their Facebook page, which can be found by searching for “The Humane Society of the United States - North Carolina” in Facebook. More photos and stories are available on the North Carolina Voters for Animal Welfare’s Facebook page, which also profiled the shelter. Please check out these pages and “like” the posts.
If you are looking for an addition to your family this holiday season, consider adopting one of the pets looking for a home. From now through December 21, pet adoptions are just $20.
In addition, donations are still needed for the second annual Wishmas Tree. The shelter is especially looking for donations of stimulant and enrichment toys, such as Kong Chew Toys, Nylabones, and Tuff Toys. If you would like to make a donation or meet the adoptable animals, please visit the shelter during its public hours on Monday-Friday, 11 am to 4 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to noon.
