Pittsboro, N.C. -- Two tiger cubs that were found wandering wandering at the Cleveland-Gaston County line in January now have new names.
The Carnivore Preservation Trust in Pittsboro held a contest online to name the seven-month-old tigers.
More than 300 names were submitted.
People who logged on to the group's website voted on the names. The voting process ended Monday, March 7th, at 9 am.
They chose Kaela for the girl and Rajah for the boy. Patty Blackwell submited the name Kaela and to Lisa Batts, Lauryn Cannon, and Richard Lasater submitted the name Rajah.
The cubs are at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro.
The cubs will arrive at their new home at the Carnivore Preservation Trust later this month.
