Pittsboro, NC - Beginning March 1, 2010, Therapeutic Alternatives will expand its contract with OPC Area Program to provide a variety of MH/DD/SA services for children, adolescents and adults including: Walk in Crisis services, Community Support, Community Support Team, Outpatient Therapy (Individual and Group), Substance Abuse Assessments and Groups, Clinical Assessments, Medication Management and Mobile Crisis Management services to people in Chatham County who qualify for and need the services.
Services will be delivered from clinics in Siler City and Pittsboro. The agency will deliver 24/7/365 crisis response services through its Mobile Crisis Management team. The team is a mobile crisis response service for people experiencing a Mental Health, Developmental Disability and Substance Abuse crisis and can be accessed by calling 1-877-626-1772.
Therapeutic Alternatives has been providing services in Chatham County since the spring of 2008 and this expansion marks an extension of the agency's contract with OPC Area Program. The agency also operates a Psychosocial Rehabilitation program in Pittsboro.
Therapeutic Alternatives, Inc. has a long history of serving the needs of people with mental illness, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases. The company was founded in 1958, when Cap and Mabel Burrow, parents of the company's current owners, began operating the Randolph County Home in Asheboro. Therapeutic Alternatives, nationally accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership, has continued to grow and today supports approximately 900 people and employs nearly 500 people across North Carolina. The agency's mission is to deliver comprehensive human services that allow people to achieve their dreams in life.
In addition to the services that will be expanded in Chatham County, Therapeutic Alternatives also provides residential services (including group homes and assisted living communities), Geriatric Adult Mental Health Specialty Teams, Targeted Case Management, CAP MR/DD and day program services.
Therapeutic Alternatives, Inc. will be announcing meet and greet sessions to meet members of the community and discuss services in the weeks to come.
