Pittsboro, NC - Pittsboro's Board of Commissioners agreed Monday to hire Samuel Misenheimer as the interim town manager. Misenheimer, previously the assistant city manager of Concord, starts today.

He will fill the position left open by David Hughes, who resigned last month.

The board agreed to pay Misenheimer $45 an hour, and he will serve as interim town manager while the board advertises the position.

Mayor Randy Voller requested that the board also contract with Hughes to advise the interim manager on current town projects and give information on record keeping and billing. The town will pay Hughes $45 an hour for his services.
