Final meeting will be on January 21 at 6:30 pm

The Chatham County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is holding its third and final meeting to gather information from Chatham citizens. Please come and share your thoughts and desires for existing and future recreation facilities with the Advisory Board. This final meeting will be on Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30 pm in the Northwood High School cafeteria.

These meetings were designed to obtain information from each high school district individually (the two prior meetings occuring at Chatham Central and Jordan Matthews), but we'll certainly welcome input about any area of the county.

We will review the 1999 Parks and Recreation Master Plan adopted by the County, seek your input on its relevance today, and seek your thoughts on any other aspect of recreation - existing or future - in the Couny. We'll also discuss the Recreation Exaction Fee if folks are interested.

Your input will help the Advisory Board make the most up to date recommendations to the BOC for future recreation expenditures in the county.

Feel free to contact the Parks and Recreation Department for more information at 919-542-8252.

We hope to see you there

Allen Baddour
Chair, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
