DMV seeking applicants for new plate agency in Siler City

Siler City, NC - More than two weeks after a Chatham County DMV office was forced to close for possible contract violations; officials are now seeking new applicants to run a new agency.

The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles says it's the division's policy is to seek new applicants whenever a contract ends.

The former agency, located on 2nd Avenue in Siler City closed on Feb. 14 for possible violations of its contract with the DMV.

Applications are available online, by clicking here.

Plate agency applications must be returned to NCDMV no later than March 25.
