Subcommittee of Chatham Commissioners and Cary Town Council meet today

Cary, NC - A subcommittee representing the Chatham County Board of Commissioners and the Cary Town Council will meet on Monday, June 1, at 6:30 pm at Fire Station #7 at 6900 Carpenter Fire Station Road in Cary.

Representing Chatham County on the subcommittee are Commissioner Chair George Lucier and Vice Chair Sally Kost. Cary town council members on the subcommittee are Julie Robison, Jennifer Robinson and Ervin Portman.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss such issues as:

• The proposed joint land-use plan for areas east of Jordan Lake;
• Taxes and revaluation cycles;
• Future annexation;
• Coordination between the two regional transportation planning organizations that serve Chatham County and Cary; and
• Other issues of mutual interest.

Interested residents are welcome to attend the meeting.
